A cast 18KT yellow gold pearl and sapphire brooch, featuring 5 x 2.75mm brilliant cut medium blue sapphires and pin set with a 9.17mm natural cultured Akoya type button pearl, set into a spray style cast and held with a hinged pin and roller cast.
Note no hallmark but has been acid tested as 18KT gold and comes with valuation.Â
Cultured Akoya pearls are a saltwater pearl originating from Japan. They are produced by the oyster species Pinctada Fucata, native to shallow waters of Indo-Pacific region. Typically ranging from 2-11mm in diameter and are known for their quality of luster and appealling colours.
